Job Title
MV Electrical Panel Design Support Engineer (Drawing Coordination Role)
Role Summary
The MV Electrical Panel Design Support Engineer will support
the L&T MV Engineering Team in drawing preparation, correction,
and modification activities.
The role primarily involves understanding customer comments / commands,
implementing accurate drawing corrections, and ensuring that changes
in one drawing are properly reflected across all related drawings as per
L&T MV engineering guidelines.
This position is execution-focused, not concept design–oriented, and requires speed, accuracy, and strong coordination with engineers across multiple L&T locations in India.
Key Responsibilities
Drawing Preparation & Correction
- Modify and correct MV panel drawings as per customer comments and L&T engineer instructions.
- Update SLD, schematic, wiring, GA, and interconnection drawings.
- Prepare new drawings strictly as per L&T MV standards and guidelines.
- Ensure revision control and proper drawing version management.
Impact Analysis & Coordination
- Understand that a change in one drawing may impact multiple related drawings.
- Identify and implement all consequential changes across the drawing set.
- Coordinate with L&T MV engineers from different regional offices for clarification and confirmation.
- Deliver drawings in quick turnaround time without compromising accuracy.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure drawings comply with:
- L&T MV engineering practices
- Project-specific customer requirements
- Perform self-checking before submission to reduce back-and-forth revisions.
Tools & Software
- AutoCAD (mandatory)
- AutoCAD Electrical (preferred)
- MS Excel / Word (for comment tracking and revisions)
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / BE in Electrical Engineering
- 2–6 years experience in MV / HV panel drawing activities
- Exposure to 11 kV / 22 kV / 33 kV systems (support level)
Required Skills
- Strong ability to understand engineering commands and comments
- High attention to detail and inter-drawing consistency
- Ability to work under tight timelines
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Comfortable working with pan-India engineering teams
Role Nature (Important Clarification)
