Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a CAD Engineer located in Noida. The CAD Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing 3D models using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, collaborating with the mechanical engineering team, supporting physical design processes, and utilizing Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools. Daily tasks will include creating detailed drawings, optimizing designs for manufacturability, and working with the Cadence design framework.
Qualifications
- Proficient in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Physical Design
- Background in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with Electronic Design Automation (EDA)
- Familiarity with the Cadence design framework
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
Key Responsibilities:

CAD Design and Drafting:
-
Develop detailed and accurate 2D/3D CAD models, technical drawings, and schematics based on project requirements and specifications.

Design and modify parts, assemblies, and layouts using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or other relevant tools).

Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop the most efficient designs and modifications for products and systems.

Design Optimization and Simulation:

Assist in evaluating design feasibility and performance through simulation software or stress testing.

Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and durability.

Ensure that designs adhere to industry standards, regulations, and company specifications.

Documentation and Specifications:

Create and maintain up-to-date technical documentation, including CAD drawings, BOM (Bill of Materials), and design specifications.

Ensure that all drawings and designs comply with project standards, quality guidelines, and safety protocols.

Review and check designs for accuracy, quality, and alignment with project requirements before submission.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with engineering teams, manufacturing departments, and clients to ensure designs meet the functional, aesthetic, and technical requirements.

Assist in resolving design issues during the product development and production stages.

Participate in design review meetings and provide valuable input to improve product designs.

Project Support:

Support project managers and engineers in meeting project deadlines and goals.

Assist in creating prototypes or mockups to validate design concepts.

Provide technical support during product development, prototype testing, and production phases.

Quality Assurance:

Perform regular checks and revisions of CAD files to ensure designs are correct, standardized, and error-free.

Identify and address potential design or production issues early in the process.

Ensure that designs comply with relevant safety, environmental, and engineering standards.
