Job Description

IT is a Newly opened Cafe. The Chef must be able to prepare cafe kind continental items, present them well, maintain very good hygiene standards. Must be able to keep place clean and tidy. Proper segregation and cleanliness is insisted upon. Good opportunity to grow with company. There is very good opportunity for growth for the Chef. Items required to be able to make are Burgers, Sandwiches, break fast menu items, Shakes etc. Out clients are very important to us and we intend to offer them the best standards, freshness, cleanliness and atmosphere. Chef is not back end in our Cafe but front end and must interact with customers if required.

Key Responsibilities

1. Food Preparation & Cooking

Prepare and cook a variety of café-style dishes, including sandwiches, salads, baked goods, and beverages.
Ensure high standards in food presentation, taste, and portion control.
Follow recipes and maintain consistency in food quality.

2. Menu Planning & Innovation

Assist in designing and updating the café menu based on customer preferences and trends.
Experiment with new recipes and seasonal specials.
Collaborate with the management to introduce unique and creative dishes.

3. Kitchen Operations & Hygiene

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene as per food safety regulations.
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of ingredients.
Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and report any issues.

4. Inventory & Cost Control

Manage stock levels of ingredients and place orders as needed.
Minimize food wastage and control portion sizes to reduce costs.
Keep track of daily food production and sales trends.

5. Team Coordination & Customer Interaction

Work closely with baristas, waitstaff, and café management.
Address customer preferences and feedback regarding food.
Train junior kitchen staff and ensure efficient workflow.
