Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

Oversee all aspects of café operations, including daily opening and closing procedures, ensuring the café is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.

Manage and supervise daily activities, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to operational guidelines.

Maintain a high standard of quality control by ensuring that all food and beverages meet the company’s specifications and customer expectations.

Ensure the café operates within budgetary guidelines, focusing on minimizing waste and optimizing resource utilization.

Staff Management:

Hire, train, and onboard new café staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent customer service.

Create work schedules, ensuring appropriate staffing levels for peak hours, while managing overtime and maintaining labor cost controls.

Supervise and mentor staff to maintain a high level of performance, ensuring they are motivated, engaged, and providing excellent service to customers.

Conduct regular performance reviews, offer constructive feedback, and support employee development and training.

Customer Service:

Deliver exceptional customer service by ensuring staff are attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the café’s offerings.

Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and to the satisfaction of the customer.

Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction, such as loyalty programs, seasonal promotions, and personalized service initiatives.

Create a welcoming and warm atmosphere that encourages repeat business and positive word-of-mouth recommendations.

Inventory and Supply Chain Management:

Maintain inventory levels for all food, beverage, and non-food items, ensuring stock levels are sufficient without overstocking.

Order supplies, manage vendor relationships, and negotiate pricing and delivery terms to maintain cost-effectiveness.

Monitor product quality and ensure that all food and beverage items are stored, handled, and prepared according to safety standards.

Track inventory usage and minimize waste through careful planning and preparation.

Financial Management:

Oversee cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy in transactions, and preventing theft or fraud.

Monitor daily sales, manage cash flow, and ensure that all sales data is properly recorded.

Analyze financial reports and work with the management team to establish strategies for increasing sales, reducing costs, and improving profitability.

Set and manage sales goals, creating action plans to achieve both short-term and long-term financial targets.

Health, Safety, and Compliance:

Ensure that the café is compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety laws, food safety standards, and licensing requirements.

Maintain a clean and sanitary environment, adhering to all health and safety guidelines to prevent foodborne illnesses.

Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Ensure that all staff members are trained in food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety protocols.

Marketing and Promotion:

Collaborate with the marketing team to design and implement promotional campaigns to drive traffic and increase sales.

Create social media content to engage with customers, share updates, and promote new menu items, events, and offers.

Organize and host special events or themed nights to attract new customers and retain existing ones.

Collect customer feedback and suggestions to help shape new product offerings or services.

Reporting and Administration:

Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, payroll, and other operational aspects of the business.

Prepare reports for upper management regarding sales performance, staff performance, and customer feedback.

Monitor trends in the food and beverage industry to ensure the café remains competitive and aligned with customer preferences.

Assist with budgeting, financial forecasting, and long-term strategic planning for the café.
