Job Description

Looking for a cake maker/artist/decorator, who can handle overall work of cake making, like making types of bases and decorating cake. so, person should have experience to handle overall work of cake making individually.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Baking and Preparation

Prepare cakes and desserts according to established recipes and customer specifications.
Mix, bake, and assemble sponge layers, frostings, fillings, and glazes.
Ensure ingredients are fresh, of high quality, and used within proper shelf life.

2. Cake Decorating

Design and decorate cakes using buttercream, fondant, royal icing, ganache, piping gel, edible glitter, airbrush colors, etc.
Create custom-themed cakes based on client requests, mood boards, or event themes.
Sculpt edible figures, flowers, and decorations using gum paste or modeling chocolate.
Hand-paint cakes or use airbrushing techniques for artistic effects and gradients.

3. Client Interaction & Customization

Discuss cake designs and custom orders with clients, understanding their vision and offering creative suggestions.
Provide sketches or mockups of complex cake designs, if required.
Ensure timely delivery of all custom orders while maintaining a high level of precision and customer satisfaction.

4. Quality Control

Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and decoration across all cake products.
Conduct quality checks at each stage of baking and decorating.
Ensure all final products meet aesthetic and food safety standards before delivery.

5. Inventory & Cost Management

Monitor stock of baking and decorating ingredients and tools.
Place orders or request supplies as needed to avoid shortages.
Manage wastage and help control costs by using ingredients efficiently.

6. Cleanliness & Food Safety

Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation at all times.
Follow hygiene protocols and food safety regulations strictly.
Ensure all equipment and utensils are cleaned and stored properly after use.

7. Team Collaboration

Collaborate with other bakers, pastry chefs, or assistants for bulk or large event orders.
Assist in training junior staff or interns on basic baking and decorating techniques.
Contribute ideas for seasonal specials, promotional items, or new product development.
