Lower Division Clerk (Group-C)
Qualification : Passed Madhyamik or equivalent examination from any recognized Board and at least a certificate in Computer Training from recognized institution and a satisfactory fingering speed in computer operation.

Typist (Basic Grade) (Group-C)
Qualification : Passed Madhyamik or equivalent examination from any recognized Board and at least a certificate in Computer Training from recognized institution and a satisfactory fingering speed in computer operation.

Summons Bailiff (Group-C)
Qualification : The Candidate must have Class-VIII Pass Certificate from any recognized school or any other recognized equivalent institution.

Scale of Pay : Rs. 5,400/- -Rs. 25,200/-
Mode of Examination : For Lower Division Clerk :- A Written Examination in Two Parts shall be conducted. For Typist (Basic Grade) :- The candidates shall have to appear for (I) Preliminary Examination (Objective Type) of 100 Marks in the same criteria as that of Lower Division Clerk post as mentioned hereinabove and (II) Main Examination (Typing Test). For Summons Bailiff:- A written Examination, the duration of which shall be of 02 hours to be conducted by the Authority.
Age : 18 - 40 yrs

The High Court at Calcutta, formerly known as the High Court of Judicature at Fort William, was brought into existence by the Letters Patent dated 14th May, 1862, issued under the High Court's Act, 1861, which provided that the jurisdiction and powers of the High Court were to be defined by Letters Patent. The High Court of Judicature at Fort William was formally opened on 1st July, 1862, with Sir Barnes Peacock as its first Chief Justice. Appointed on 2nd February, 1863, Justice Sumboo Nath Pandit was the first Indian to assume office as a Judge of the Calcutta High Court, followed by legal luminaries such as Justice Dwarka Nath Mitter, Justice Ramesh Chandra Mitter, Sir Chunder Madhab Ghosh, Sir Gooroodas Banerji, Sir Ashutosh Mookerjee and Justice P.B. Chakravartti who was the first Indian to become a permanent Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court.
