Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Calibration Engineer to join our growing team. The candidate will be responsible for performing on-site and in-lab calibration of a wide range of instruments, ensuring traceability to national/international standards and maintaining documentation as per ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform calibration of instruments in electrical, thermal, mechanical, or dimensional domains
- Follow standard operating procedures and calibration methods (e.g., NABL-129, ISO 17025)
- Document calibration results and issue certificates using lab software
- Communicate with clients during site visits and handle technical queries
- Maintain and verify calibration standards/tools
- Ensure quality, safety, and compliance in all activities
Required Skills and Competencies

Technical Expertise

In-depth knowledge of calibration principles, metrology, measuring instruments, and tolerance analysis.

Hands-on experience with equipment like multimeters, oscilloscopes, thermocouples, pressure calibrators, etc.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret complex data accurately.

Capable of identifying root causes of equipment deviations or non-conformance.

Documentation and Reporting

Excellent documentation skills with the ability to generate technical reports, calibration certificates, and audit records.

Attention to detail in recording test results and maintaining traceability.

Clear and professional verbal and written communication for coordination with cross-functional teams, vendors, and regulatory bodies.

Organizational and Time Management

Ability to manage multiple instruments and calibration schedules simultaneously.

Prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, especially during audits or peak production periods.

Software Proficiency

Familiarity with calibration management software (e.g., Fluke MET/TRACK, GAGEtrak, LabWare) and MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).
