Job Description

Job Summary:

A Care taker is responsible for assisting patients with daily activities, providing basic medical support, and ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires compassion, patience, and the ability to work under the supervision of nurses or healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Care & Assistance

Assist patients with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
Support elderly, disabled, or recovering patients with their physical needs.
Help patients use medical equipment such as wheelchairs and walkers.

2. Medical Support (Under Supervision)

Assist in administering medications as per the nurse's instructions.
Monitor and report any changes in a patient’s condition.
Help with wound care, dressing changes, and basic first aid.
Measure vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse) if trained.

3. Hygiene & Cleanliness

Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of the patient’s living space.
Change bed linens and assist in keeping medical supplies organized.
Ensure proper sanitation to prevent infections.

4. Emotional & Psychological Support

Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
Engage patients in light activities and conversation.
Assist with mental well-being by offering reassurance and comfort.

5. Coordination with Healthcare Professionals

Communicate with doctors, nurses, and family members regarding patient needs.
Follow healthcare plans as directed by medical staff.
Maintain patient records and update caregivers on daily routines.
