Job Description

Coordinating and managing all aspects of shipping, from arranging transportation and preparing documents to tracking cargo and ensuring timely delivery, often working with clients, carriers, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Shipment Coordination & Transportation Management

Plan and arrange transportation for cargo via air, sea, road, or rail.
Coordinate with shipping companies, freight forwarders, and carriers to ensure efficient deliveries.
Optimize routes and transport modes to minimize costs and transit time.

2. Documentation & Compliance

Prepare and verify bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, and shipping documents.
Ensure compliance with customs regulations, import/export laws, and trade policies.
Handle permits, licenses, and clearance documentation required for shipments.

3. Cargo Tracking & Delivery Management

Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
Update clients and stakeholders on shipment status and delays.
Address and resolve delivery issues, damages, or lost cargo claims.

4. Client & Vendor Coordination

Act as a liaison between clients, transport providers, warehouse teams, and customs authorities.
Maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders, transport companies, and suppliers.
Provide customer support, addressing any queries related to shipments.

5. Cost Management & Optimization

Negotiate freight rates and transportation costs with vendors.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency in logistics operations.
Ensure accurate billing and invoicing for logistics services.
