Job Overview

A Bank Cashier is responsible for handling daily cash transactions, assisting customers with deposits and withdrawals, and ensuring accurate financial operations at the branch. The role requires strong attention to detail, customer service skills, and basic banking knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

Handle cash deposits, withdrawals, and payments
Count and verify cash accurately before processing
Maintain cash balance and records at the end of the day
Process cheques, demand drafts, and online transactions
Provide excellent customer service and resolve queries
Cross-sell basic banking products (accounts, cards, etc.)
Ensure compliance with banking rules, KYC & AML guidelines
Report any suspicious or fraudulent transactions
Maintain cleanliness and discipline at the cash counter

Required Skills

Basic knowledge of banking operations
Good communication and customer handling skills
Strong numerical ability and attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and meet targets
Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, banking software)

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification: Graduate (any stream)
Preferred: Commerce / Banking background
