Key Responsibilities:
1. Transaction Handling:

Accurately handle all types of customer transactions including cash, credit/debit cards, digital wallets, and vouchers.

Process sales and returns efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems.

Issue receipts, refunds, change, or tickets as required.
2. Customer Interaction:

Greet customers politely and assist with questions about products, prices, or billing.

Provide a pleasant checkout experience by maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor.

Resolve customer complaints or escalate issues to supervisors when needed.
3. Cash Register Operation:
-
Operate electronic cash registers, scanners, and other checkout tools with efficiency.

Count money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure accuracy.

Balance the cash register and generate sales reports or shift summaries at the end of the day.
4. Sales Support:
-
Suggest promotions, loyalty programs, or additional products during checkout when appropriate.

Collaborate with sales staff to restock shelves or assist with inventory during downtime.

Monitor pricing accuracy and inform the manager of any discrepancies.
5. Record-Keeping and Reporting:

Maintain daily logs of cash, card, or online transactions.

Report shortages, overages, or suspicious activity to management.

Ensure proper documentation for voided bills, returns, and refunds.
6. Cleanliness and Compliance:

Maintain a neat and organized cashier area at all times.

Follow safety, hygiene, and security protocols as per company policy.

Ensure compliance with legal requirements related to payments, taxes, and receipts.
