Job Description
- Location: Porur, Chennai
- No. Of Openings: 6
- Gender: Male / Female
- Salary: Rs.15,000 to Rs.16,500 (Based on the experience)
- Qualification: Any Degree & Basic Computer Knowledge
- Experience: 2 - 3 years
- Age limit: 20 - 40
- Language Known: Tamil must (English/Hindi added advantage)

Key Responsibilities:
1. Transaction Handling:

Receive payments in cash, credit/debit cards, mobile payments, or vouchers.

Accurately scan or input prices, process sales, and provide change as required.

Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently and handle refunds, discounts, or price overrides with proper authorization.

Count cash in the register drawer at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure accuracy.
2. Customer Service:
-
Greet customers warmly and respond to inquiries or complaints in a professional manner.

Assist customers in locating products, explaining prices, or answering general questions.

Provide a pleasant checkout experience and thank customers after every transaction.
3. Cash Register and Equipment Maintenance:

Ensure the cash register is functioning correctly and report any malfunctions.

Keep the counter area tidy, organized, and free from clutter.

Handle receipts, coupons, gift cards, and loyalty program transactions accurately.
4. Sales Support:
-
Upsell products or inform customers of ongoing promotions or discounts.

Work with the sales team to ensure product availability and monitor stock levels at the counter.

In smaller stores, assist in restocking shelves, packing items, or basic store maintenance during low-traffic periods.
5. Security and Compliance:

Follow all company cash handling procedures and security protocols.

Immediately report any suspicious activity, counterfeit currency, or discrepancies to management.

Maintain confidentiality regarding customer transactions and store policies.
