Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CathLab Technician to support cardiovascular procedures in a cardiac catheterization laboratory. The CathLab Technician plays a critical role in assisting physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures such as angiograms, angioplasty, stent placement, pacemaker implantation, and electrophysiology studies.
This role requires advanced knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, sterile technique, fluoroscopy equipment, and catheterization procedures. The technician is responsible for preparing the lab, setting up and operating complex medical equipment, monitoring patient vitals during procedures, and ensuring a safe and sterile environment at all times.
Prepare and maintain the Cath Lab and all necessary equipment for procedures.
Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, pacemaker insertions, and other procedures.
Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond appropriately to changes during procedures.
Operate fluoroscopy, EKG, and other imaging and monitoring equipment.
Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and radiation safety guidelines.
Maintain accurate patient and procedural records.
Provide support in emergency situations and participate in on-call rotations.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
