Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Installation & Setup
-
Install CCTV cameras (IP and analog), DVR/NVR systems, and related security hardware at customer locations
-
Run cables (coaxial, CAT5/CAT6), mount cameras, and set up necessary power supplies and routers
-
Configure systems to enable recording, live monitoring, motion detection, and remote viewing on mobile or desktop platforms
-
Ensure installation adheres to safety standards and manufacturer guidelines
2. Maintenance & Troubleshooting
-
Conduct routine maintenance checks of installed CCTV systems to ensure optimal performance
-
Diagnose technical issues including signal problems, storage errors, and image quality concerns
-
Repair or replace faulty equipment such as cameras, connectors, hard disks, and power units
-
Provide on-site and remote technical support to clients as required
3. Customer Interaction & Service
-
Interact professionally with clients during site visits
-
Provide guidance on camera placement, viewing angles, and optimal security coverage
-
Educate clients on how to use the system, playback recordings, manage alerts, and access footage remotely
-
Maintain a helpful and respectful attitude while addressing client concerns or queries
4. Documentation & Reporting
-
Maintain logs of installation, service visits, maintenance, and repair work
-
Submit daily/weekly reports on tasks completed, system status, and pending issues
-
Ensure inventory records of tools, wires, and system components are accurately maintained
5. Team Collaboration & Coordination
-
Coordinate with the sales and project teams for scheduling installations and upgrades
-
Collaborate with IT/networking personnel for integrating CCTV with broader security or automation systems
-
Report escalated technical issues to senior engineers or vendors for resolution
Key Skills & Competencies:
Technical Skills:

Proficient in installing and configuring analog/IP CCTV cameras

Understanding of DVR/NVR systems, cabling, connectors, and power backup units
-
Knowledge of remote viewing setup, LAN/WAN IP settings, and WiFi routers
-
Basic electrical wiring and soldering knowledge

Familiarity with related tools: drill machines, crimping tools, multimeters
Soft Skills:

Good communication and customer-handling skills

Punctual, reliable, and presentable in front of clients

Strong attention to detail and quality of work

Ability to work independently and in a team

Willingness to travel locally and occasionally to outstation sites
