Senior Research Fellow job position in Central Tobacco Research Institute
Project entitled: “Gender Specific Adaptation Programmes in Response to Climate Change in Coastal Eco-Systems”
Essential: Master’s Degree in Food Science & Technology/Food Engineering/Home Science/Women Studies/Ag. Extension with 4/5 years Bachelor’s Degree (or) Any Post Graduate Degree in basic Science with NET Qualification from a recognized and reputed University.
Desirable: 1. Knowledge/Certificate in post harvest technology/food processing/fruit preservation techniques. 2. Experience: Work experience in projects related to gender issues/climate issues/disaster management.

Pay Scale : Rs.25,000
Age limit : 35 years for men and 40 years for women.

Central Tobacco Research Institute (CTRI) is the biggest of its kind in Asia, well equipped with the most sophisticated instruments for carrying out basic and applied research, especially in the frontier areas like Bio-technology and smoke research at Rajahmundry (E.G.Dist. of A.P.). It is recognised by several universities like Andhra University, Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University, Bhagalpur University, Nagarjuna University, Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri for the award of Ph.D. degree through Research. At present about 530 employees including 54 Scientists, 179 technical staff and 300 administrative and other staff are working in this institute for the development of tobacco in the country. Due to the everlasting research done in the Institute for 50 years, several tobacco farmers are benefited by following the package of practices and production technology developed by the scientists of this Institute.
