Qualification : Post-Graduation in Sugar Technology or AVSI or ANSI degree with 55%.
Desirable : Two years of industry experiences
Place of Work : Examba, Chikkodi Taluk, Belgaum, Karnataka
Remuneration per month (Consolidated)
Rs.40,000/- for candidates possessing UGC/CSIR- NET/SLET
Rs.45,000/- for candidates possessing UGC/CSIR- NET/SLET with Ph.D. in the relevant subject.
No other emoluments/allowances/Medical reimbursement are applicable. No vacation salary is payable
Minimum qualifications for appointment
Arts, Humanities, Sciences, Social Sciences, Commerce, Languages, Computer Science (MCA), etc. : i. Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. ii. ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. iii. iii. Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) to this Clause 2.1, candidates, who are, or have been awarded with a Ph. D. degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions. However, such exemption will be considered upon the production of certificates from University, which clearly substantiate that Ph.D. degree has been awarded with course work. iv. iv. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.

The Central University of Karnataka (CUK) has been established by an Act of the Parliament (No. 3 of 2009) at Gulbarga, Karnataka. It is one of the 16 new Central Universities established by the Government of India during the UGC XI Plan Period to address to the concerns of ‘equity and access’ and to increase the access to quality higher education by people in less educationally developed districts which have a Graduate Enrolment Ratio of less than the national average of 11%.
