Ceramic Foreman / Supervisor - Casting
Supervises ceramic casting operations, ensuring molds are prepared, filled, and cured properly. Manages casting crew, monitors production quality, and ensures safety and efficiency in the casting process.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Supervision and Coordination
-
Lead, supervise, and motivate the casting team, ensuring adherence to schedules and production plans.

Assign tasks, monitor work progress, and ensure efficient utilization of manpower and resources.

Train and mentor new and existing workers on casting techniques, safety protocols, and quality standards.
2. Production Management
-
Oversee the ceramic casting process including mold preparation, slip preparation, pouring, drying, and demolding.

Ensure production targets are met while maintaining high-quality output.

Monitor machine and equipment performance; coordinate timely maintenance and repairs.
3. Quality Control
-
Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure defect-free casting products.

Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, molds, and finished products.

Address production defects and implement corrective actions promptly.
4. Safety and Compliance
-
Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety standards and conducting regular safety audits.

Ensure compliance with environmental and occupational health regulations.

Promote use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of materials.
5. Reporting and Documentation
-
Maintain production records, daily reports, and shift logs.

Report production progress, challenges, and workforce issues to management.

Assist in inventory control of raw materials and supplies for the casting department.
6. Continuous Improvement

Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency enhancement.

Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to implement best practices.

Support innovation in casting methods to reduce waste and increase yield.
