Project Assistant (Level-III) recruitment in Central Glass and Ceramic Research Institute (CGCRI) purely temporary
Qualifications: M.Sc. Chemistry (Inorganic/Physical) OR M.Sc. Material Science OR B.E./B.Tech. Ceramics with 55% min. marks (relaxed by 5% for SC/ST candidates).
No.of Post: 1
Stipend: Rs. 12,000
Age: 28 years (as on 01.01.2016) which is relaxed up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes/OBC/Women/Physically handicapped applicants.
Job Requirement: Preference: Desirable: Trial/testing/product development, characterization, pottery development in various locations, project report writing, data analysis etc. and other similar work as and when required under project GAP 1218 entitled “Integrated Pottery Development Project”.
Preference will be given to that candidate who had minimum one year prior experience in the same field. Experience in various developmental activities such as research/characterization of ceramic materials/building materials/waste utilization/terracotta pottery development etc.

Central Glass and Ceramic Research Institute (CGCRI), one of the foremost laboratories in the family of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research was formally inaugurated on August 26, 1950 by Dr. B.C. Ray, the then Chief Minister of West Bengal in presence of eminent personalities : Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Prof. C.V. Raman, Dr. Meghnad Saha and others. Dr. S.S. Bhatnagar was then Director-General of CSIR while Dr. Atma Ram was Director of the Institute.
