Job description for the post of Chemist in Rubber testing.

A Chemist in rubber testing is responsible for conducting various tests on rubber materials and products to ensure quality and meet specific requirements. This includes analyzing raw materials, chemical compounds, and finished rubber products to determine their chemical composition, physical properties, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

· Testing and Analysis:

Performing physical and chemical tests on rubber materials and products, including:

· Raw material testing: Analyzing the chemical composition, properties, and quality of raw rubber, chemicals, and additives.

· Compound testing: Testing the properties of rubber compounds to ensure they meet specific hardness, strength, and elongation requirements.

· Finished product testing: Evaluating the quality and performance of finished rubber products, such as tires, hoses, and other components.

· Quality Control:

Ensuring that rubber products meet established quality standards and specifications.

· Data Analysis and Reporting:

Recording, analyzing, and reporting test results, including any deviations from expected outcomes.

· Troubleshooting:

Investigating and resolving issues related to rubber formulation, processing, and product performance.

· Collaboration:

Working with other engineers and scientists to develop new rubber formulations and improve existing processes.

· Maintaining Equipment:

Ensuring that laboratory equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.

· Physical Testing:

Assessing the physical properties of rubber, such as hardness, tensile strength, elongation, and resistance to stress.
