Chief Executive Officer / Chief Operational Officer/Head of Incubator / Incubation Managerjob opportunities in Gujarat Technological University on temporary basis
1. Chief Executive Officer / Chief Operational Officer/Head of Incubator / 01 position
Qualification: A Graduate/Post graduate from any nationally reputed institute/university having Minimum 8
years of overall work experience, with at least 4 years of experience in the startup / Innovation
/Entrepreneurship domain, either as a startup founder / co-founder / core team member /key
employee of a start-up and / or as an enabler of startup/Innovation ecosystem or in a lead position
in reputed Innovation & Startup promoting organization.
A Graduate/Post graduate in any streams related with Health System with Bio-Medical Devices,
Bio-Technology (with Industrial),Bio-Pharma, Bio-Informatics sector and such will be useful. An
MBA or higher degree with relevant experience may be added advantage. Candidate who have
helped start-ups/Incubators to scale up through funding/market development and allied means
will be preferred. If the candidate is from Start-up background, he/she should have raised funding
from credible sources or expanded his start-ups to certain level. Experience of building a start-up
though it might have failed at decent stage is valued positively as this experience would be quite
handy for nurturing start-ups.
Applicants must be able to clearly demonstrate entrepreneurial skills and past experience as an
enabler for startups/Innovation ecosystem or as an entrepreneur or startup founder is preferred.
The candidate should have ability to develop network with the local or regional healthcare
institutions such as hospitals, medical colleges, pharma companies, reagent suppliers and allied
organization. Applicants with previous experience collaborating with government departments / agencies /
allied organizations/Private sector, along with demonstration of fundraising for non-profit
organizations shall be preferred for shortlisting.
Applicants must mandatorily have a clear understanding of local, national and global startup
ecosystems and the ability to find ways to collaborate with ecosystem stakeholders for advancing
the objectives of the AIC. Applicants must be able to clearly demonstrate understanding of health sector innovations and
biomedical concepts, and further possess a passion for solving social issues and challenges.
Applicants must be able to clearly demonstrate leadership and management skills, and previous
experience leading teams and programs is a must. Applicants must possess a strong command on English language, preferably with suitable
proficiency in Hindi. Applicants are expected to be well suited in conceptualizing, compiling, and
putting together papers, presentations, documents, proposals, etc.
Maximum CTC up to Rs.1,50,000, fixed and consolidated, per month,
Incubation Manager/ 01 position
Qualification / Experience Required : A Graduate/Post graduate from any nationally reputed institute/university having Minimum
5 years of overall work experience, with preferably three or more years of experience in the
startup / Innovation /Entrepreneurship domain, either as a startup founder / co-founder /
core team member /key employee of a start-up and / or as an enabler of startup/Innovation
ecosystem or in a lead position in reputed Innovation & Startup promoting organization.
Candidate having working in a health care innovation, start-up ecosystem, center will be given
preference. MBA /PGDBM from reputed university is preferable. Experience in Business Development /
Entrepreneurship Development / Technology Commercialization would be an added
Maximum CTC up to Rs.70,000 fixed and consolidated, per month, as per Atal Innovation Mission rules.
This is the maximum possible CTC and the final offer may defer.
Selection Process & Terms : A shortlist of applicants will be selected by an expert Committee from all the applications received.Shortlisted applicants shall then be invited for a personal interview by a high-level empowered selection committee. A merit list of candidates shall be created based on personal interviews, and in order of precedence of the merit list, an applicant shall be selected for the position of the Head.
