Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil AutoCAD Designer / Draftsman / Draughtsman to assist in preparing 2D and 3D technical drawings, structural layouts, and construction models using AutoCAD, Revit, and STAAD Pro. The ideal candidate should have a sound understanding of civil and structural design principles, construction workflows, and drafting standards.
This position plays a crucial role in supporting engineers and project teams in the planning, documentation, and execution of residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Drafting & Design Using AutoCAD (2D/3D)

Prepare detailed 2D drawings including plans, elevations, sections, and working drawings as per engineering inputs.

Develop 3D models using AutoCAD and generate views for presentation and review.

Modify existing drawings and designs based on site conditions, markups, or revisions.
2. BIM & Revit Modeling
-
Create accurate building and infrastructure models in Revit for structural, architectural, and MEP coordination.

Work with engineers and architects to ensure correct model geometry and parameters.

Update models with changes during different phases of the project – concept, design, and construction.
3. Structural Design Support (STAAD Pro)

Assist in preparing basic input data or load models in STAAD Pro under the guidance of structural engineers.

Read and interpret analysis results for producing structural drawings and reinforcement details.

Prepare beam-column layouts, RCC detailing, footing plans, and other civil/structural elements.
4. Drawing Documentation & Management

Create title blocks, legends, notes, and layer management according to company standards.

Maintain version control and drawing registers for easy tracking and updates.

Convert hand-drawn sketches, scanned blueprints, or markups into precise CAD documents.
5. Coordination & Quality Control
-
Work closely with engineers, architects, site supervisors, and project teams to ensure accurate implementation of drawings.

Perform self-checks for dimensions, scaling, and drawing clarity before submission.

Respond to drawing-related queries from site or client teams in a timely manner.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Degree in Civil Engineering.

2–3 years of professional experience as a Civil Draftsman or AutoCAD Designer.

Proficient in:

AutoCAD (2D & 3D)

Revit (Architecture/Structure)

STAAD Pro (Basic structural understanding)

Good understanding of engineering principles, RCC detailing, structural elements, and municipal drawing standards.

Ability to read and interpret civil, architectural, and structural blueprints and BOQs.
