Job Description

Job Summary: The civil engineer is responsible for coordinating and supervising construction projects from start to finish. This involves overseeing the work of a crew of workers, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring that projects are completed on schedule and within budget. The civil engineer will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with building and safety codes, maintaining accurate records, and overseeing the quality of workmanship.

Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Coordinate and supervise construction projects from conception to completion.

Ensure adherence to project specifications and timelines.

Manage subcontractors and construction crew to ensure quality standards are met.

Site Management:
Monitor daily construction activities and ensure site safety.

Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.

Maintain accurate records of construction progress, materials used, and project expenses.

Team Leadership:
Provide guidance and direction to construction workers and subcontractors.

Foster a positive work environment and ensure high employee morale.

Resolve conflicts or disputes that may arise on the job site.

Quality Control:
Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship meets quality standards.

Address any deficiencies or issues promptly to maintain project schedule.

Communication:
Serve as the point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and engineers.

Communicate project progress and updates regularly to all stakeholders.

Report any issues or concerns to the project manager or construction manager.

Requirements:
Proven experience as a construction site engineer or similar role.

In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment.

Excellent leadership and organizational skills.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Diploma or degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field (preferred).

Working Conditions:
The job may require working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Regular travel to project sites and occasional overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
