Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Civil Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the planning, design, execution, and supervision of civil construction projects including roads, buildings, bridges, drainage systems, water supply networks, and other infrastructure developments.
The Civil Engineer will ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with relevant regulations and safety standards. This role involves working with a multidisciplinary team of architects, designers, contractors, surveyors, and government officials to ensure project success from conception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Design:

Prepare detailed construction plans, layouts, and engineering designs using CAD software such as AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, or Revit.

Analyze survey reports, maps, blueprints, and other topographical and geotechnical data to plan infrastructure projects.

Calculate load and grade requirements, water flow rates, and material stress factors to ensure structural integrity.

Collaborate with architects and other engineers to integrate civil aspects into overall project designs.
2. Site Execution and Supervision:

Oversee daily construction activities at the project site, ensuring work is performed according to plans and specifications.

Coordinate with contractors, laborers, and subcontractors to manage workflow and resolve on-site issues.

Monitor project progress, prepare daily/weekly reports, and ensure timelines and quality benchmarks are met.

Inspect construction materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with building codes and standards.
3. Cost Estimation and Budget Control:

Assist in preparing cost estimates, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and budgeting for labor, materials, and machinery.

Monitor expenditures to prevent cost overruns and recommend adjustments if necessary.

Liaise with procurement teams to order materials and ensure timely delivery to site.
4. Safety, Compliance, and Documentation:

Enforce strict safety standards on the site and ensure all work adheres to legal regulations and environmental guidelines.

Maintain project documentation including drawings, technical reports, inspection logs, and completion certificates.

Secure necessary permits and clearances from local authorities and government bodies.
5. Quality Control and Technical Support:

Conduct regular quality checks, material testing, and site inspections to ensure structural soundness.

Resolve technical problems and provide engineering support in case of structural issues, discrepancies, or site challenges.

Assist in preparing project handover documents, final drawings, and as-built reports.
