JD Of Civil Maintenance Engineer

• Degree in Civil Engineering from reputed institute.
  
• Should have minimum 10 years of engineering & maintenance experience in a Chemical or relevant industry.
  
• Experience with concrete & steel structures, geotechnical engineering & foundations & road maintenance.
  
• Experience in managing and negotiating with contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
  
• Preparation of work plans and schedules.
  
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality and environmental excellence.
  
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  
• Organizes and directs labor effectively and efficiently to complete day-to-day work schedules.
  
• Assigns day-to-day work schedules for all civil trade maintenance staff.
  
• Estimates materials required for upgrades and new projects from engineering drawing and prepares a bill of quantities from same.
  
• Supervises labor to ensure adequate quantity of work output and desired standards of finish in terms of quality are achieved.
  
• Liaises with area owner on matters of programme, work content, etc. where they directly affect the normal functioning of the area owner.
  
• Designs the civil engineering/building aspects of new projects/renovations in a professional manner with reference to current civil engineering design practice.
  
• Computer literate and conversant with MS Office & Excel work sheet.   
  
• Able to work on his own initiative as well as being a team player.
