Job Summary
We are looking for a competent and proactive Civil Site Engineer to manage and supervise civil engineering projects at the construction site. The ideal candidate will oversee on-site construction activities, ensure project quality, safety, and timely completion in line with design specifications and regulatory standards.
The Civil Site Engineer acts as the link between project design teams, contractors, vendors, and clients, ensuring that the project progresses efficiently while adhering to budget and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Supervision and Project Management

Supervise all on-site civil engineering activities including excavation, foundation, concrete work, structural steel erection, plumbing, and finishing works.

Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring timelines are met according to the construction schedule.

Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure material availability and timely delivery.

Ensure that all works comply with design specifications, engineering standards, and client requirements.
2. Quality Assurance and Control

Conduct regular inspections and quality checks on materials and workmanship.

Implement quality control measures to avoid defects and rework.

Coordinate with quality control inspectors and testing agencies for material testing and certifications.

Ensure compliance with relevant codes such as IS codes, ASTM, or local building regulations.
3. Safety Compliance

Enforce safety protocols on site and ensure all personnel adhere to safety standards.

Conduct safety training sessions and toolbox talks.

Identify potential hazards and take corrective actions to mitigate risks.

Report and document any safety incidents or accidents promptly.
4. Documentation and Reporting

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports for project managers and stakeholders.

Maintain records of materials used, labor deployment, and equipment utilization.

Document site instructions, changes, and approvals accurately.

Assist in preparing technical submittals, method statements, and as-built drawings.
5. Technical Support and Problem Solving

Provide technical guidance to contractors and workers for complex engineering issues.

Review design drawings and provide feedback or suggest modifications based on site conditions.

Resolve site-related technical issues, discrepancies, and conflicts swiftly to avoid project delays.

Liaise with consultants, architects, and engineers for clarifications and approvals.
6. Resource Management

Monitor the use of materials, machinery, and manpower to ensure optimal utilization.

Coordinate with procurement teams for timely ordering and delivery of construction materials.
