Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Site Management and Supervision:

Oversee and manage all construction activities on-site to ensure that the work is progressing as per the project plan and timeline.

Supervise and coordinate the work of laborers, contractors, subcontractors, and other workers involved in the construction project.

Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with the drawings, technical specifications, and safety standards.
2. Quality Control and Assurance:

Conduct regular inspections of the work to ensure that the construction complies with the project’s quality standards.

Monitor the use of materials and ensure that only approved materials are used on-site.

Report any discrepancies or defects in the work and initiate corrective actions to ensure adherence to the quality requirements.
3. Safety Management:

Enforce site safety protocols and ensure that all safety regulations are followed by workers and contractors.

Conduct regular safety audits and ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) is used and safety measures are in place.

Actively participate in safety meetings and promote a culture of safety on-site.
4. Project Planning and Scheduling:

Assist in the development of detailed construction schedules and ensure that the project milestones are met.

Monitor daily progress and update the schedule to reflect any delays or changes.

Coordinate with project managers to make sure that resources, materials, and labor are available on-site as needed.
5. Cost and Budget Management:

Assist with estimating project costs and maintaining cost control to ensure the project stays within the allocated budget.

Track expenses related to materials, labor, and equipment to identify potential cost overruns and make recommendations for cost-saving solutions.

Review and approve invoices from contractors and suppliers, ensuring that the costs align with the project budget.
6. Contractor Coordination and Liaison:

Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the project runs smoothly.

Ensure effective communication between the site team and the project management team to address any challenges and ensure timely resolution.

Resolve any conflicts or issues between parties involved in the project to maintain a harmonious working environment.
7. Documentation and Reporting:

Prepare and maintain daily site reports, construction progress reports, and other documentation related to the project.

Submit regular progress reports to the project manager and ensure that any delays, issues, or changes are documented and communicated.

Ensure that all project-related paperwork is organized and accessible for future reference.
8. Inspection and Testing:

Coordinate site inspections and testing of materials, construction methods, and finished work.

Ensure that inspections are conducted at appropriate stages of the project to ensure compliance with codes and regulations.

Document test results and ensure that necessary approvals are obtained from relevant authorities or clients.
9. Project Handover:

Assist in the handover process of completed construction projects, ensuring all documentation, including as-built drawings, warranties, and manuals, is provided to the client.

Conduct final inspections of the project and ensure that it meets the client’s requirements and specifications.
