Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a responsible, compassionate, and well-organized Clinical Assistant to support healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality patient care. The Clinical Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring smooth clinical operations by assisting with administrative tasks, patient interaction, basic clinical procedures, and overall clinic hygiene.
This position is ideal for candidates who are passionate about patient care, have a basic understanding of medical processes, and wish to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Patient Support & Care

Greet and guide patients throughout their visit to the clinic or hospital.

Assist patients in filling out registration forms or medical histories.

Provide information about procedures, tests, or medications as directed by the doctor or nurse.

Ensure the comfort and safety of patients, especially elderly or physically challenged individuals.

Escort patients to consultation rooms, labs, or diagnostic areas as needed.
2. Clinical Assistance
-
Support doctors or nurses during medical examinations or minor procedures.

Assist with taking vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, oxygen saturation) under supervision.

Help in setting up medical equipment, sterilizing instruments, and preparing materials for procedures.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in consultation rooms, diagnostic areas, and procedure rooms.
3. Administrative Support
-
Schedule patient appointments and manage consultation queues.

Maintain patient records and update electronic health records (EHR) systems as required.

Handle basic billing or coordinate with front office staff for payment processing.

Help manage inventory of clinical supplies such as gloves, syringes, dressing materials, etc.
4. Coordination & Communication

Communicate clearly with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.

Relay doctor’s instructions regarding follow-up, medications, or diagnostics to patients.

Liaise with pharmacies, laboratories, or diagnostic centers when needed.

Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times, adhering to data protection and privacy laws.
5. Clinic Maintenance & Safety
-
Ensure medical equipment is sanitized, functional, and properly stored.

Follow infection control protocols and safety procedures in all patient areas.

Dispose of medical waste in accordance with clinical standards and regulations.

Assist in restocking supplies and preparing examination rooms at the start and end of the day.
