Job Description
Key Responsibilities

Business Development and Lead Generation

Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the clinical research space, including pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms, Contract Research Organizations (CROs), academic institutions, and healthcare organizations.

Develop a pipeline of potential clients through networking, cold calling, industry events, online platforms, and referrals.

Conduct thorough market analysis to identify target clients and key decision-makers.

Client Relationship Management

Build and maintain long-term professional relationships with existing clients while actively pursuing new partnerships.

Serve as a liaison between the client and internal clinical teams to ensure clear communication and alignment of project goals.

Understand clients' clinical research needs and tailor services to meet those requirements effectively.

Proposal Development and Contract Negotiation

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop customized proposals, Request for Proposal (RFP) responses, and budget estimates.

Prepare technical and financial presentations highlighting the company’s capabilities in clinical trial management, regulatory compliance, data management, and biostatistics.

Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients, ensuring that terms align with both the client’s needs and the organization’s business objectives.

Strategic Planning and Market Expansion

Contribute to strategic planning efforts aimed at entering new markets or service lines (e.g., oncology trials, decentralized clinical trials, medical device trials).

Analyze market trends and competitors to refine the company’s value proposition and positioning.

Recommend new services or partnerships to increase the company's competitiveness.

Cross-functional Collaboration

Work with clinical operations, regulatory affairs, medical writing, data management, and quality assurance teams to ensure proposals are operationally feasible and compliant with applicable guidelines.

Participate in internal meetings to communicate business development strategies and client feedback to other departments.

Support onboarding of new clients and transition from contract signing to project execution.

Sales Reporting and Forecasting

Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).

Generate weekly and monthly reports detailing business development activities, opportunities in the pipeline, and conversion rates.

Provide sales forecasts to senior management for resource planning and budgeting.
