Job Description
Architecture & Design
Design and own the end-to-end architecture of cloud-native data ingestion and engineering frameworks on GCP
Define reusable pipeline patterns for batch, streaming, and API-based data ingestion into BigQuery and GCS
Establish load strategies for structured data ingestion — full load, incremental, and upsert patterns
Drive key architecture decisions to closure and publish Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) for the delivery team
Evolve the framework iteratively as platform strategy and client requirements mature
Depth in GCP Data Services with hands-on, ability to build framework that is reliable and scalable.
Breath on other GCP services and can hold conversations with other pillar(Observability/FinOps, Governance, Infra) to be able to provide platform driven inputs and take informed co-owned decisions.
Data Ingestion & Pipeline Development
Architect ingestion pipelines for relational databases, flat files, cloud storage, streaming queues, and API sources
Design parameterised, reusable connectors that reduce onboarding effort for new source systems
Design streaming ingestion patterns for real-time data delivery into the cloud warehouse
Define API integration patterns for both pull-based (scheduled) and push-based (event-driven) ingestion
Governance & Quality
Provide inputs and review approach and design to embed data quality checks and schema validation within ingestion pipelines
Review metadata configuration standards to support pipeline parameterization and catalogue integration
Collaborate with the governance team on data contract design and schema evolution handling
Technical Leadership
Represent the architecture position in client design sessions, technical reviews, and sprint ceremonies
Align with infrastructure, streaming, and governance workstreams to ensure platform coherence
Mentor engineers on design patterns, GCP best practices, and framework standards
Contribute to Deloitte's internal practice through reusable assets, accelerators, and knowledge sharing
