Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cloud Infrastructure Management

Design and deploy scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems in the cloud.

Manage and provision cloud-based infrastructure using best practices.

Implement and manage cloud storage, compute, and networking services.

Configure and manage virtual machines, load balancers, and databases in the cloud environment.
2. Automation and Scripting

Write and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager.

Automate cloud deployment, monitoring, and maintenance processes using scripts (Bash, PowerShell, Python).

Develop CI/CD pipelines to support efficient and reliable code deployments.
3. Monitoring and Optimization

Monitor cloud resources using tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or Stackdriver.

Analyze usage patterns to recommend and implement cost optimizations.

Ensure high system availability and performance through proactive monitoring and scaling strategies.
4. Security and Compliance

Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) policies to control access to cloud resources.

Monitor for security vulnerabilities, implement encryption, and enforce security protocols.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA) in cloud environments.
5. Backup and Disaster Recovery

Configure and test data backup and disaster recovery solutions.

Ensure data integrity and availability by implementing robust failover and recovery mechanisms.
6. Collaboration and Support

Work closely with DevOps, software engineering, and IT teams to support cloud-based application development and deployment.

Serve as a subject matter expert on cloud-related projects and provide training and documentation for internal teams.

Respond to technical issues and incidents related to cloud systems and services, ensuring timely resolution.
7. Continuous Improvement

Research and recommend new tools and technologies to improve cloud infrastructure performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability.

Stay current with the latest trends in cloud computing and emerging technologies.
