Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Learning and Development:

Participate in structured training programs, certifications (e.g., AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer), and hands-on labs focused on cloud security.

Study cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and learn how security is applied differently across them.

Develop an understanding of the shared responsibility model for cloud platforms.
2. Technical Support and Shadowing:

Assist senior cloud security engineers with day-to-day tasks including security audits, threat monitoring, and policy reviews.

Shadow incident response procedures and learn to investigate security alerts and logs.

Support the analysis of cloud infrastructure configurations to detect potential vulnerabilities or misconfigurations.
3. Identity and Access Management (IAM):

Learn how to create and manage secure roles, permissions, and user policies using IAM tools in AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Assist in reviewing user access logs and help implement the principle of least privilege.
4. Security Monitoring and Reporting:

Help monitor cloud environments using tools like AWS CloudTrail, Azure Security Center, or Google Cloud Operations.

Contribute to compiling regular reports on cloud security status, threat findings, and remediation actions.

Learn how to detect anomalous behavior and potential security events in cloud activity logs.
5. Policy and Compliance Support:

Understand major compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2) as they relate to cloud environments.

Assist in documentation and policy drafting to support regulatory and organizational security standards.

Participate in internal audits and gap analyses under supervision.
6. Security Tools and Technologies:

Gain hands-on exposure to tools like:

SIEM (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack)

Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools
