CMM Quality Engineer Jobs Opening in Accuress CNC Machining Private Limited at Chromepet, Chennai
Job Description
- Quality Planning & Documentation:
- Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Control Plans (QCPs), Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), and other quality documentation for CNC machined components.
- Inspection & Metrology:
- Perform and oversee dimensional inspections of CNC machined parts using a variety of precision measuring instruments (CMM, VMM, height gauges, micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, profilometers, etc.).
- Process Control & Improvement:
- Implement and monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques to identify and address process variations.
- Work closely with production, design, and manufacturing engineering teams to resolve quality issues and drive process improvements..
- Supplier Quality:
- Assist in the qualification and ongoing monitoring of raw material and component suppliers.
- Conduct incoming material inspections and address supplier quality issues.
CMM Operation and Programming:

Set up, operate, and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to perform precise dimensional inspections of parts and assemblies.

Develop and validate CMM programs using software such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, or MODUS, depending on the machine used (e.g., Zeiss, Mitutoyo, Hexagon).

Ensure programs align with part drawings, 3D CAD models, and GD&T specifications.

Perform First Article Inspections (FAIs), in-process checks, and final inspections using the CMM.
