Job Description
SAAB ENGINEERING PVT LTD
Opening for - CNC and VMC machine operator
FRESHERS (Only Male candidates)
Qualification - ITI / Diploma
Benefits - Production Incentives + Attendance bonus +Shift allowance + OT allowance 150 per hour(8 hrs duty) / 6 days working , Rotational shifts.
Nearly 18k - 19k in hand monthly
(Food will be available)
Location - Bommasandra , Bangalore
Key Responsibilities:
1. Machine Setup and Operation:
-
Set up CNC and VMC machines using standard operating procedures.
-
Install workpieces, tools, and fixtures based on drawings or instructions.
-
Load machine programs (G-code/M-code) into the control unit or manually input data when needed.
-
Make tool offsets and adjustments to ensure proper machining dimensions.
-
Monitor machine operation throughout the production cycle to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
2. Component Production:
-
Operate machines to perform precision machining operations like drilling, milling, facing, boring, and tapping.

Manufacture components based on technical drawings, 2D/3D models, or specifications.
-
Produce parts within tolerance using quality control guidelines and measuring instruments.
-
Ensure optimal surface finish, shape, and dimensional accuracy of parts.
3. Tool and Machine Maintenance:
-
Perform daily machine checks including coolant level, air pressure, lubrication, etc.
-
Replace worn-out tools and re-sharpen tools when needed.
-
Maintain tools, jigs, fixtures, and accessories in working condition.
-
Report breakdowns, tool wear, or equipment issues to the maintenance team.
4. Quality Control and Inspection:
-
Inspect parts using measuring tools such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, dial indicators, etc.

Compare measurements with engineering drawings to ensure tolerance limits are met.

Record inspection results and submit reports to the quality department.

Reject or rework parts that do not meet standards.
5. Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain production logs, machine run sheets, and job cards.

Record shift production output, idle time, and scrap details.
-
Coordinate with supervisors for daily work allocation and feedback.
6. Safety and Cleanliness:
-
Follow all company safety guidelines and wear proper PPE (safety shoes, gloves, goggles).
-
Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment around the machine area.
-
Report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately.
