Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation and Setup
-
Prepare and set up CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders, routers, etc.) for production runs.

Load raw materials into machines and install fixtures, tooling, and machine attachments.

Interpret and follow detailed blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and work instructions.

Adjust machine settings, tool paths, and offsets to ensure proper alignment and cutting.

Input and modify CNC programs (G-code, M-code) as necessary for optimal machine performance.

Start machines, observe operation, and perform routine checks to detect malfunctions or abnormalities.
Production and Quality Control

Operate machines to produce components within defined tolerances and quality standards.

Monitor production operations, making necessary adjustments to maintain part accuracy and machine efficiency.

Inspect finished parts using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs).

Document production results and quality control records accurately.

Identify defects or deviations from specifications and report issues to supervisors or quality control teams.

Work closely with engineers and programmers to resolve production problems and implement improvements.
Maintenance and Safety

Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning machines, lubricating moving parts, and replacing worn tooling.

Ensure CNC machines are running efficiently and safely by conducting daily checks and adhering to preventive maintenance schedules.

Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.

Participate in safety meetings and contribute to a culture of workplace safety.
