Job Description

Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, or CAD/CAM files.

Understand dimensions, tolerances, and finishing requirements.

Install and secure raw material (metal blocks, sheets, rods, etc.) on the machine.

Load tools such as drills, cutters, or milling bits into the machine.

Set machine parameters (speed, feed rate, cutting depth).

Start the programmed machine cycle.

Monitor operations to ensure accuracy and quality.

Adjust controls if needed to prevent defects.

Use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to check part dimensions.

Ensure parts meet tolerances and surface finish requirements.

Perform basic maintenance like cleaning, lubricating, and changing tools.

Report or fix operational issues (e.g., vibration, incorrect cuts).

Follow safety protocols (PPE, machine guards).

Keep records of production, tool changes, and maintenance activities.
