Job Description

Job Summary:

A CNC Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines to produce precision parts and components. The role involves reading blueprints, setting up machinery, inspecting finished products, and ensuring production quality while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. CNC Machine Operation & Setup

Operate CNC lathes, milling machines, grinders, or laser cutters.
Load raw materials and set up tools, fixtures, and workpieces.
Adjust machine settings and input G-code and M-code programs.

2. Quality Control & Inspection

Conduct measurements using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Inspect finished parts for accuracy, dimensions, and defects.
Ensure all products meet engineering specifications and quality standards.

3. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

Perform basic machine maintenance (lubrication, cleaning, tool changes).
Identify and report malfunctions, tool wear, or operational issues.
Assist in machine calibration and adjustments as needed.

4. Reading & Interpreting Technical Drawings

Understand engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models.
Follow work orders and production plans for accurate machining.
Work with CNC programmers and engineers to optimize performance.

5. Safety & Compliance

Follow workplace safety guidelines and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) rules.
Adhere to ISO, ASME, and other industry standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
