Job Description

*We are Hiring!!!!!*Diploma | BE Mechanical and ITI Fresher

Working Hours: 8 hours + 2 hours Compulsory OT (Rs.3000 Monthly)

Shift: Rotational Shift (Day/Night) Salary 17k

Work Location: Thirumudivakkam (Chennai)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Machine Setup and Operation

Prepare and set up CNC/VMC machines before beginning production.
Load and secure raw materials and components onto the machine table or fixture.
Install and set tools and offsets based on workpiece requirements and drawing specifications.
Operate CNC or VMC machines by selecting and running the appropriate program.

2. Program Understanding and Execution

Read and interpret engineering drawings, part specifications, and machining instructions.
Understand G-code and M-code programming used for machine control (basic knowledge expected).
Verify the correct program is loaded and follow proper sequencing of operations.

3. Quality Inspection and Measurement

Use measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and dial indicators to check component dimensions.
Conduct in-process inspections during machining to maintain dimensional accuracy.
Record and report measurement results, and flag any discrepancies or non-conformities.

4. Maintenance and Troubleshooting

Perform routine machine maintenance such as cleaning, lubrication, and coolant refills.
Identify tool wear, replace tools when necessary, and adjust tool offsets accordingly.
Troubleshoot minor machine malfunctions or errors and escalate technical issues to the supervisor or maintenance team.

5. Production Documentation

Maintain accurate records of production output, machine logs, and quality checklists.
Ensure job cards, batch numbers, and part tags are properly filled and updated.
Follow job instructions and production schedules as assigned by the production supervisor.

6. Safety and Compliance

Adhere to company safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Ensure a clean and organized work area, following 5S and lean manufacturing practices.
Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
