Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Payment Collection & Follow-Up

Contact customers via phone calls, emails, or other communication channels to collect pending payments.

Follow up on overdue accounts regularly and maintain a record of calls and outcomes.

Negotiate payment plans, settlements, or partial payments with customers.
-
Ensure collection efforts are documented accurately for reporting and future reference.
2. Customer Interaction & Relationship Management
-
Communicate with customers in a polite, professional, and persuasive manner.
-
Handle queries regarding dues, invoices, payment procedures, and account statements.
-
Maintain a positive relationship while ensuring timely payment recovery.

Escalate difficult cases or disputes to supervisors or management for resolution.
3. Documentation & Reporting
-
Maintain detailed records of all calls, payment commitments, and customer interactions.

Update Excel sheets, MS Office documents, or CRM systems with collection status and follow-up schedules.

Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on collection performance and outstanding amounts.

Monitor customer payment patterns and identify high-risk accounts or delayed payments.
4. Research & Customer Data Verification

Use Google search, social media, and other online tools to locate customers and verify contact details.

Cross-check customer information and update records for accuracy.

Identify alternative contact methods or decision-makers to maximize collection success.
5. Compliance & Ethics

Follow company policies, legal regulations, and ethical practices in payment collection.

Ensure customer privacy and data security during all interactions.
-
Avoid aggressive or unethical collection practices while pursuing payment.
6. Coordination with Teams
-
Collaborate with accounts, finance, and sales teams for resolving billing issues.

Coordinate with supervisors to report challenging cases and seek guidance.

Participate in team meetings and share best practices for improving collection efficiency.
Required Skills & Competencies
1. Communication & Negotiation Skills

Strong verbal communication skills for effective telecalling.

Persuasive and confident in negotiating payments without straining customer relationships.

Ability to handle rejections, disputes, or difficult conversations professionally.
2. Computer & Research Skills
