Job Title: Collections Executive
Department: Collection
Location: Thane
Reports To: Collections Manager
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time
The Collections Executive is responsible for contacting clients and customers to collect overdue payments, resolve billing issues, and ensure that the company’s receivables are paid on time. The role requires excellent communication and negotiation skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to debt recovery.
Key Responsibilities:- Contact customers via phone, email, or mail to follow up on outstanding payments.
- Maintain accurate records of all collection activity and customer interactions.
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements in accordance with company policies.
- Resolve customer complaints and disputes regarding billing and payments.
- Monitor aging reports and prioritize collection efforts based on risk and amount due.
- Coordinate with the billing and sales teams to clarify account discrepancies.
- Recommend accounts for legal action or escalation when necessary.
- Prepare regular reports on collections status and forecast expected payments.
- Adhere to company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards in all collection efforts.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in finance, business, or related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in collections, credit control, or customer service.
- negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with billing procedures and debt collection laws.
- Proficient in MS Office and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
