Job Description
Role Overview
The Commercial Field Operations Executive is responsible for on-site supervision of data recording at commercial business locations across Bengaluru. The FO delivers devices to an assigned business, stays on-site for the full recording session, and ensures that all devices are actively recording at target utilization. All devices are dispatched from and returned to the Instawork Office, 80 Ft Road, Koramangala, Bengaluru.

Key Responsibilities
On-Site Device Management & Supervision
Deliver assigned devices (typically 3-10 per location) to the commercial business at start of shift.
Mount/strap devices on data collectors (business employees or workers).
Stay physically present at the location for the entire recording session.
Ensure all devices are actively recording throughout the day.
Swap batteries, clear storage, and restart recording as needed.
Collect all devices at end of session and return to Instawork Office.
Move between commercial locations assigned to ensure proper recording at all times.
Pace Management
Monitor each device's recording hours throughout the day.
Push data collectors to stay on task and minimize breaks.
Target: every device should record 6+ hours/day.
If a collector is underperforming, coordinate with the business owner to reassign or replace.
Report hourly status to your Data Captain so they can track weekly slab progress.
Onboarding Support (Procapture App)
Assist workers with device setup, app login, and permissions.
Guide collectors through recording steps — many are first-time users (cooks, masons, shop staff).
Ensure onboarding is completed before recording begins.
Live Quality Assurance (QA)
Check camera framing, angle, and stability within the first 15 minutes of each recording.
Verify lighting conditions are adequate — adjust mounting if needed.
Spot-check recording quality throughout the day.
Identify and correct issues in real time (blurry footage, obstructed lens, wrong task recorded).
Real-Time Troubleshooting
Resolve device, app, login, or recording issues on the spot.
Handle common problems: storage full, app crash, device overheating, poor connectivity.
Escalate unresolvable issues to the Data Captain or IC immediately.
Reporting & Communication
Report end-of-day hours to Data Captain: total device-hours, issues encountered, ETA for location completion.
Update the tracking sheet/system with daily recording status.
Flag any business-side issues (owner complaints, early stop requests, collector no-shows).
Shift & Compensation
Fixed Salary: ₹30,000/month
Fuel Allowance: ₹6,000/month (200/day)
Shift: Full day at assigned location, typically 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Total fixed monthly compensation: ₹36,000
Reporting Structure
The Commercial FO reports directly to their assigned Data Captain. The Data Captain manages the business pipeline and is responsible for overall hours output. The FO is the captain's eyes and ears on the ground.
Daily: Report device-hours, issues, and completion ETA to Data Captain
Escalation: Technical issues → Data Captain → IC / Team Lead
Devices: All devices picked up from and returned to Instawork Office daily
Skills & Eligibility
Comfortable staying at one to three locations for a full shift
Driving license mandatory
Ability to manage and motivate business employees/workers who are recording
Basic smartphone troubleshooting skills (app setup, storage management, camera checks)
Good communication in Kannada and/or Hindi (English helpful but not required)
Strong knowledge of Bengaluru areas and routes
Punctual, dependable, and accountable
Own smartphone required; two-wheeler preferred for commuting to locations
Key Performance Indicators
Device utilization: Hours recorded per device per day (target: 6+ hours)
Location completion speed: Days to finish a location vs. target
Device accountability: Zero loss, zero damage
QA accuracy: Recording quality pass rate on spot checks
Pace management: Ability to keep collectors on task with minimal downtime
Reporting accuracy: Timely, complete daily status to Data Captain
Responsiveness: Fast resolution of on-site issues
