Computational Science Researcher
Job Description
Role Overview:
We are seeking highly analytical and computationally proficient individuals with strong research backgrounds across multiple computational science domains. You will be instrumental in crafting challenging, insightful problems in your respective research domain and devising elegant computational solutions to advance frontier AI capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Quantitative Problem Design & Solutioning:
1. Develop and conceptualize original, research-grade or graduate-level scientific problems with scientific coding/programming using Python.
2. Rigorously define problem categories, secondary tags, and assign appropriate difficulty levels.
3. Rigorously solve formulated problems using sound principles, ensuring absolute accuracy, reliability, and logical coherence of the solution path.
Quality Assurance & Collaboration:
1. Actively participate in two-tier reviews, meticulously evaluating both the accuracy of problems and solutions.
2. Collaborate effectively with reviewers and team leads, demonstrating a proactive approach to incorporating feedback, refining content, and enhancing overall quality promptly.
Required Qualifications:
1. PhD or PhD Candidates in any of the following computational science domains:
- Computational Material Science (Semiconductor materials and Molecular modeling)
- Computational Chemistry
- Computational Mathematics (Numerical linear algebra and Computational mechanics)
- Computational Biology
- Computational Physics
2. Has published at least 1 peer-reviewed paper
3. Advanced proficiency in Python programming for scientific coding is preferred
4. Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear documentation and collaboration
