Job Description
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Construction Engineer to support our project management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing takeoff estimates and quantities, managing variation documents, coordinating with clients and suppliers, and overseeing invoicing and accounts management. Proficiency in Excel and good communication skills are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed takeoff estimates and quantities for construction projects to assist in budgeting and planning.

Submit necessary applications and documentation for approval from regulatory bodies or clients in a timely manner.

Organize and maintain variation documents, ensuring all changes to the original contract are properly documented and communicated.

Communicate effectively with clients and suppliers through emails and calls to coordinate project requirements and updates.

Obtain quotes from suppliers, evaluate them, and assist in vendor selection to ensure competitive pricing and quality.

Liaise with clients to organize selections such as materials, finishes, and other project specifications.

Review and verify invoices related to construction works, ensuring accuracy before processing payments.

Manage project accounts, maintain records of expenses, and assist with budget tracking.

Utilize Microsoft Excel extensively for data analysis, quantity calculations, reporting, and documentation.

Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure smooth project execution.

Maintain professional and timely communication with all stakeholders to keep projects on track.
Candidate Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.

Proven experience in construction project support or engineering role.

Strong knowledge of construction estimating, takeoff techniques, and quantity surveying basics.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).

Good communication and organizational skills.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.

Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset.

Familiarity with construction contracts, variation orders, and invoicing processes is a plus.
