Job Description
National Institution for Transforming India Aayog (NITI Aayog) invites application for the position Consultant Grade I
Number of positions: 1(one)
Period of Contract: For a period of 3 Years.
Remuneration (per month): Rs. 80,000/- to 1,45,000/-
Essential: Master's Degree in Housing and Urban Affairs area related subjects or BE/B. Tech/B.Planning “or possessing any Professional Degree earned after a study of 4 years or more acquired after 10+2”
Desirable: Persons with M.Phil., M.Tech., M.Sc., M.Planning, Ph.D, additional qualifications, research experience, published papers and post qualification experience in the fields of Housing & Urban Affairs, Urban Health, Town Planning, Water& Sanitation would be preferred
Experience: Minimum 03 years of post-essential qualification experience on the above mentioned subjects working in Government, reputed Government Organization, International development agencies and Research Organizations. Preference will be given to persons with work experience in public policy in domain of Housing & Urban Affairs, Urban Health, Town Planning, Water & Sanitation /developing policy papers/ monitoring of Projects & Schemes etc.
Job description/Requirements:
i. Design & implement end-to-end public policy framework for the improvement in sustainable and inclusive urbanization at all levels of human settlements through national and local development policy frameworks.
ii. Appraisal & development of Cabinet Notes and other proposals on Urbanisation.
iii. Work on Strategy papers on themes such as improvement in Housing & Urban Affairs sector & its adoption, removing impediments in the growth of Urban Sector including Urban Health, Capacity building of Urban Planners, Management of Municipal Finances, spurring private investment in Urban Sector to achieve “Atmanirbhar Bharat” goals of Govt of India, creating employment in Housing & Urban Affairs etc.
iv. Developing suggestions for policy reforms and strategic inputs on themes of Housing & Urban Affairs and related areas Monitor and coordinate research carried out by external agencies, academic bodies and research institutions to benchmark India’s strength and weakness in Urban Sector Stakeholder engagement with the private sector, civil society, academia, research organizations, state & city governments, for policy reforms in the area of Housing & Urban Affairs and releated areas.
v. To review and providing support to optimize the outcome of different Centrally sponsored schemes in Housing & Urban Affairs
