Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Clinical Duties:
-
Diagnose and manage patients with coronary artery disease, structural heart conditions, arrhythmias, and heart failure.

Perform a wide range of interventional cardiology procedures including:
-
Coronary angiography
-
Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) / angioplasty
-
Stent implantation (bare-metal and drug-eluting)
-
Balloon valvuloplasty
-
Temporary and permanent pacemaker insertions
-
Intravascular imaging (IVUS, OCT) and FFR assessments
-

Evaluate patients pre- and post-procedure, monitor for complications, and lead follow-up care planning.

Provide emergency care for acute coronary syndrome (ACS), myocardial infarction (MI), and arrhythmias.
2. Inpatient and Outpatient Care:
-
Conduct ward rounds, manage inpatients, and provide consults to other specialties.
-
Lead outpatient cardiology clinics, including preventive cardiology, follow-up care, and second opinions.

Develop personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based guidelines and patient preferences.
3. Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
-
Collaborate with internal medicine, critical care, radiology, anesthesiology, and cardiac surgery teams.

Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and case discussions.
-
Provide referrals and coordinate care for patients requiring surgical or electrophysiological interventions.
4. Teaching, Mentoring & Supervision:
-
Teach and mentor medical officers, junior doctors, and postgraduate students in cardiology.

Supervise residents and fellows during procedures and clinical assessments.

Lead continuing medical education (CME) sessions, workshops, or journal clubs as needed.
5. Research & Development:
-
Participate in or initiate clinical research, audits, or trials in the field of interventional cardiology.
-
Stay updated with new technologies, devices, and clinical guidelines.

Contribute to scientific publications and presentations at national or international conferences.
