National AIDS Research Institute (NARI) invites application for the position Consultant

Project: "Prevalence of select sexually transmitted infections/reproductive tract infections among subpopulations at high risk of HIV in India"

Consolidated Salary: Maximum 1,00,000/- depending upon experience and knowledge Rs.70,000/- Maximum depending upon experience and knowledge

Essential Qualification:

a. Professionals with MD (Community Medicine/Microbiology/General Medicine/Skin/VD or any other clinical subject) OR Retired Government employee with above requisite educational qualification drawing pay in the Pay Band Rs.15600-39100+ Grade Pay of Rs.6600/- at the time of retirement. OR

b. Professional having MBBS qualifications with R & D experience in Public Health/CIinical/ Medical Microbiology / Clinical Research OR Professionals having MSc qualifications in Medical Microbiology with PhD and R & D experience in Medical Microbiology OR Retired Government employee with above requisite educational qualification drawing pay in the Pay Band Rs.15600-39100+ Grade Pay of Rs.5400/- at the time of retirement & having at least 20 years of experience in the required domain/field

Desirable Qualifications:

i. Experience in implementation of the large national level projects and programs, scientific writing / Data Analysis.

ii. The candidate should be familiar with handling statistical software and data management

iii. Prior Clinical trial experience of two years Post Graduate Diploma in PSM/PATHO/MICRO or other clinical subject with at least 2 years of clinical/Skin/STD Research experience Work experience in field of HIV and sexually transmitted infections

Job Responsibility:

i. Coordinate in the overall implementation of the project for all regions.

ii. Assist PI and Co-PI of LRI in overall co-ordination of preparatory activities

iii. Study implementation and data analysis at all sites and assist PI in the development of modules, tools and SOP's and trainings, QA

iv. Supervision of field activities

v. Willing to travel
