Job Description

1. Post: Consultant

2. Position: National Law University, Delhi (“University”) through Parichay is seeking to engage on a contractual basis, one (1) Consultant (Research). The Consultant (Research) will be responsible for designing as well as implementing research projects at Parichay along with undertaking other allied tasks.

3. Duration: 12 (twelve) months

4. About Parichay: Parichay is a collaborative legal aid clinic between law schools, of which National Law University Delhi is a part, established to provide effective assistance in citizenship determination litigation. We provide litigation assistance to lawyers in Assam, and also undertake research on citizenship law, including on important questions of procedural law. 5. Qualifications

a. Graduate with a degree in law with 0-2 years of work experience

b. Familiarity with citizenship law and criminal and civil procedure is preferred

c. Proficiency in English is mandatory. Candidates proficient in Assamese (writing and speaking) will be preferred, and candidates proficient in Bengali (writing and speaking) will also be given additional consideration.

6. Compensation: The Consultant (Research) will be paid a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 40,000/- to 50,000/- per month, subject to qualifications and experience.
