Consultant (Scientific) job opportunities in Regional Medical Research Centre , Port Blair on contract basis

No. of Post : 01 (GEN)

Qualification : Post Graduate Degree in Microbiology/Epidemiology with research experience in the related field including tribal health and conducting field surveys. The research work should be evidenced by publications in reputed journals. OR Retired Government Employees with grade of Rs. 4600/- and above and having at least 20 years’ experience in the required domain/field

Desirable : PhD in microbiology/MD in epidemiology with 5 years’ experience in the related field. Knowledge of Computer Applications

Salary : Rs. 53,220/- including 10% HRA (Consolidated)

Age Limit : 70 Years

Regional Medical Research Centre, Port Blair is one of the six Regional Centres of Indian Council of Medical Research. The Centre was incepted in 1983 with the objectives of carrying out biomedical research on communicable and non-communicable diseases prevalent in Andaman and Nicobar Islands with a special emphasis on the health problems of the indigenous tribes and to develop technical manpower locally. However, during the past two five-year plans, the Centre recognized its identity and made rapid strides towards achieving its set objectives.
