Job Description

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent 1-5 years curriculum development & writing experience; Degree in Education, Instructional Design, English or related field.
  • Advanced ability to write with attention to narrative and copy
  • Extensive experience designing and developing training materials and content to include creating instructor-led materials, online/e-learning modules, job aids, online tutorials, multimedia products (video, graphic, audio), and other training materials.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theories and techniques.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Knowledge of assessment methods and formats, such as multiple choice, hands-on, open-ended response, etc.
  • Knowledge and ability to implement various evaluation levels.
  • Knowledge of learning technologies and support systems, such as collaborative learning software, learning management systems, and authoring tools.
  • If asked to interview, should be able to provide/share a specific example of a start to finish project that demonstrates an understanding of instruction strategy and structure (ADDIE).
  • If asked to interview, should be able to demonstrate an ability to draw from provided materials and conduct own research to create valuable training.
  • Experience facilitating automotive training experience a huge plus
Principle Responsibilities
  • Lead curriculum development on multiple projects and programs concurrently.
  • Design traditional, nontraditional, interactive and multimedia learning solutions
  • Design, write and develop instructional materials; create interactive and engaging course content & build effective learning experiences.
  • Design, write and edit e-learning module and classroom curriculum; including but not limited to identifying measurable learning objectives, group activities, discussions, case studies, role-plays, scenarios, simulations, scripts, progress checks, performance evaluations and knowledge assessments.
  • Draw from a diverse background of design and learning techniques to define and sequence instructional content and strategies to optimize learning experiences.
  • Adapt instructional materials created for one format to another format
  • Create and maintain performance support materials, including but not limited to online knowledge bases, job aid, quick reference guides, and other digital based learning resources.
  • Facilitate train the trainer sessions
  • Create curriculum development project plans and maintain them
  • Use a variety of techniques to identify instructional content and learning activities
  • Proactively identify appropriate curriculum evaluation techniques and apply them, such as:Summative and formative evaluation
  • Conduct appropriate test to assess andtest the learning design solution and its impact
  • Assesses whether the learning design solution produces positive results, such as change in learner attitude, skill, knowledge, and behavior.
Purpose
  • Responsible for designing, writing, developing, implementing and analyzing automotive industry training programs.
Scope
  • Provide curriculum design services in support of proposal and sold programs. 
  • Leads curriculum development initiatives under general direction of a Learning Strategist or Instructional Designer. 
  • Responsible for writing curriculum and identifying tactical learning tools associated with automotive training and process improve solutions. No direct reports.
