Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent 1-5 years curriculum development & writing experience; Degree in Education, Instructional Design, English or related field.
Advanced ability to write with attention to narrative and copy
Extensive experience designing and developing training materials and content to include creating instructor-led materials, online/e-learning modules, job aids, online tutorials, multimedia products (video, graphic, audio), and other training materials.
Knowledge of adult learning theories and techniques.
Strong project management skills.
Knowledge of assessment methods and formats, such as multiple choice, hands-on, open-ended response, etc.
Knowledge and ability to implement various evaluation levels.
Knowledge of learning technologies and support systems, such as collaborative learning software, learning management systems, and authoring tools.
If asked to interview, should be able to provide/share a specific example of a start to finish project that demonstrates an understanding of instruction strategy and structure (ADDIE).
If asked to interview, should be able to demonstrate an ability to draw from provided materials and conduct own research to create valuable training.
Experience facilitating automotive training experience a huge plus

Principle Responsibilities

Lead curriculum development on multiple projects and programs concurrently.
Design traditional, nontraditional, interactive and multimedia learning solutions
Design, write and develop instructional materials; create interactive and engaging course content & build effective learning experiences.
Design, write and edit e-learning module and classroom curriculum; including but not limited to identifying measurable learning objectives, group activities, discussions, case studies, role-plays, scenarios, simulations, scripts, progress checks, performance evaluations and knowledge assessments.
Draw from a diverse background of design and learning techniques to define and sequence instructional content and strategies to optimize learning experiences.
Adapt instructional materials created for one format to another format
Create and maintain performance support materials, including but not limited to online knowledge bases, job aid, quick reference guides, and other digital based learning resources.
Facilitate train the trainer sessions
Create curriculum development project plans and maintain them
Use a variety of techniques to identify instructional content and learning activities
Proactively identify appropriate curriculum evaluation techniques and apply them, such as:Summative and formative evaluation
Conduct appropriate test to assess andtest the learning design solution and its impact
Assesses whether the learning design solution produces positive results, such as change in learner attitude, skill, knowledge, and behavior.

Purpose

Responsible for designing, writing, developing, implementing and analyzing automotive industry training programs.

Scope

Provide curriculum design services in support of proposal and sold programs.
Leads curriculum development initiatives under general direction of a Learning Strategist or Instructional Designer.
Responsible for writing curriculum and identifying tactical learning tools associated with automotive training and process improve solutions. No direct reports.
