Job Description

Continental cook vacancy available in our Hyderabad. Food and accommodation will be provided by company. Duty time 9 hrs, weekly one day will get off, annual leave 30 days with salary in a year.

Introduction

We are seeking a skilled Continental Cook to prepare a variety of continental dishes in our kitchen. The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of European cuisines, sauces, and cooking techniques, with the ability to maintain high standards of taste, hygiene, and presentation. This role requires creativity, consistency, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Food Preparation & Cooking

  • Prepare and cook continental dishes including appetizers, main courses, sauces, and desserts.

  • Ensure proper portioning, presentation, and taste for all dishes served.

  • Follow standard recipes and menu specifications accurately.

  • Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, marinating, and seasoning as required.

2. Kitchen Operations & Hygiene

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.

  • Adhere to food safety standards, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines.

  • Ensure all cooking equipment, utensils, and kitchen tools are cleaned and maintained properly.

  • Monitor inventory levels, ingredients, and supplies and report shortages to the kitchen supervisor.

3. Menu Planning & Innovation

  • Assist in developing and updating continental menus.

  • Suggest new dishes and seasonal specials to enhance the menu offerings.

  • Adapt recipes to meet dietary preferences, special requests, and nutritional requirements.

4. Teamwork & Coordination

  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and serving of meals.

  • Train and guide junior cooks or kitchen assistants in continental cooking techniques.

  • Coordinate with the kitchen manager or chef for smooth kitchen operations.

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

  • Expertise in continental cooking techniques, sauces, and presentation.

  • Knowledge of European cuisines, including Italian, French, and Mediterranean dishes.

  • Ability to work with different kitchen equipment and maintain food quality standards.
