Job Synopsis
- Role : Language Editor / Technical Editor
- Experience : 0-1 Year
- Salary : As per industry norms

- Location : Chennai
- Professional language editors will improve language, producing high-quality, timely, and error-free manuscripts.
- Our language editing/Technical editing department is top-of-the-line, always keeping quality and time of delivery in mind.
- Job Roles and Responsibilities
- Enhance authors text to improve the overall readability of research articles.
- Eye for detail to identify poorly written text.
- Up-to-date knowledge on language requirements based on various style manuals such as Chicago style, APA (American Psychological Association) and AMA (American Medical Association).
- Check for language grammar and in-house style (capitalization, spaces, quotation marks, dashes, vocabulary and spellings etc.) using tools.
- Ensure all references cited in the text have been included in the reference list and vice versa.
- Improving text flow.
- Raise author queries where required and incorporate changes accordingly.
- Rearranging sentences and paragraphs.
- Freshers or maximum 1 year of experience in Copy Editing / Language Editing of journals /books with high emphasis on quality.
- Effective English communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Familiarity with publishers house style and journal specifications.
- Flexible to work in rotational shift (6.00 am-1.30 pm / 1.30 pm 8.45 pm), No night Shifts.
- Eye for detail.
- Preferably Post / under graduates from Science/Mathematics/English (above 55% without any standing arrears)
- Technical Skills Required:
- Excellent command over English
- Strong in English grammar
- Excellent written communication skill
